There are few official rules governing angling in Denmark, so all you need is common sense. We are blessed with over 7,400 kilometres of coastline in Denmark, plus thousands more of river bank and hundreds of lakes, which means there’s plenty of room for everyone.

Fishing LicenseEveryone aged between 18 and 65 angling in Denmark must hold a valid national angling licence. Your angling licence is personal, and you must carry your receipt for payment while fishing, together with personal identification. It may be bought at the post office in Nørregade, 8900 Randers C or online at www.fisketegn.dk.

Day- and weeklicenses Fishinglicenses (day- and weeklicenses) are required for the Gudenå river and other streams, lakes etc. i East Jutland.
Only an national fishing licence is required from Randers and about
8 kilometres along the Gudenå river to Frisenvold.
