If you come to Randers by water, there are several marinas to spend the night. When you enter the mouth of the fjord from Kattegat, you will see the green landscape with fields and a few houses which is the small fishing place and marina called Udbyhøj North.
|
On the south side there is another marina, Udbyhøj South. If you continue, you will see a landscape with rush and meadows along the coast, but behind that there are wooded hills, the old slopes from the Stone Age. At the south end of the canal, you pass Mellerup on the west side and Voer on the east side.
A little north of Mellerup you have Mellerup Marina, and in Voer you might visit Fjordcentret - Voer Færgested. Further up, the fjord divides into the shallow waters of Grund Fjord in the east and the narrow Randers Fjord in the west. Here you will find the small, cosy Uggelhuse Marina among the green rush.
If you continue the trip towards Randers - Denmark's only river harbour - you will reach Dronningborg Marina just before entering the harbour where there are several possibilities of mooring.
