Castles and Manor Houses

It is most likely that the term Kronjylland and kronjyde are due to the big Crown estates, i.e. estates owned by the Crown, the King. The term Kronjyde was first used by Danish poets about year 1750. Both Grundtvig and Hans Christian Andersen and especially Henrik Pontoppidan, who was born in Randers, used the term.

Today the term isn't used as often. It's replaced by Randers and the randrusians.
